Happy Valentine’s Day from Fresh From the Farms!  Local is for lovers!  J

We are excited to be able to continue to find produce for you in these winter months.  Virtually all of our produce comes from within a 40-mile radius of Fort Mill, and 100% of the items in our boxes support the local food industry.  We have linked up a short segment (1:59) from the author of  The Omnivore’s Dilemma, Michael Pollan’s book on eating local.  Click to view an interesting piece.

Michael Pollan’s Why Eat Local

This week your box will include more winter produce such as apples, onion, potatoes, carrots and microgreens.  Tega Hills’ is back to a full crop, and we will again have their beautiful lettuce for everyone.  Strawberries are still a couple weeks out, but collards and kale are abundant.

This is also Bosky Acres’ goat cheese week.  Let us know if you would like to add a 4 oz. container ($6) to your delivery.

Also, just let us know if you’d like to add a dozen free-range, cage-free eggs ($3.50) or a pound of raw, local honey ($8.00) to your order.

Please let us know if you would NOT like to receive a box this week.

And as always, thank you for supporting our local farmers!

Blessings,

Beth & Wendy
